Easter Time!

The past few months life has been good to our little family! Chris quit the police department to focus on school and to provide a better life for us. I'm so proud of him for making such an enormous decision, especially after he had already made the career choice to be an officer, and worked so hard to accomplish it. We are excited to see what life will bring and where the next few years will take us. Easter was great!! My brother blessed his new little twins, Ashton Miles&Brinley Raelyn on Easter Sunday so all our family was in town and it was such a blast. Jayda is doing so great. She amazes me everyday with the funny little things she does. She's decided she wants to suck on her thumb, which just started yesterday and I'm freaking out b/c I have tried really really hard not to let her get into the habit of that, but it seems inevitable at this point. :) The little bugger just wont keep her hand out of her mouth. I'm sure Julie knows what I'm talking about b/c her little one is about the same age. We did some re-arranging around the house and I just bought an armoire and fixed it up and painted it to go in our living room. It was a lot of fun.....I'm sure not quite the undertaking that Taytums cabinets probably were lol but hey it was my little house project this past weekend. Not too much is new other than the fact that I thought I was already prego again.....but dont worry guys, FALSE ALARM! :)

My cabinets WERE quite the undertaking....but I didn't have a little one around that I was taking care of at the same time, so I think we are even on the challenge of being homemakers!

k, so I didn't read before I commented. Yes, Kaitlyn has decided thumb sucking is for her. I try to stop it with the pacifier bc my doctor made the point that eventually you can take away the pacifier, but not thier thumb. And.. I had to laugh that you thought you were prego.. I did too! I just have felt like crap and soo tired.. and well you know everything seemed to point in that direction. But, today was a confirmed no. Thank Goodness!! I have in an IUD so I shouldn't be, but I couldn't help wondering.

HEY,
Well here's what happened with Kaitlyn; the first time we tried rice cereal, she was so hungry and that was my first mistake. The doctor told me the trick is to feed her when she's hungry, but not that hungry. That gets them used to eating that way, and then they will start eating more. So, we did rice cereal for a while and then she said go ahead and use baby food too. I will say that someone told me the other day that their baby doesn't like rice cereal, but like the oatmeal. So, you could try that, or try baby food with some rice cereal. The other thing she told me was to feed her one new food a week to make sure they aren't allergic to it. I actually did three days and then started a new one. Oops! I figured I should know within that amount of time! But.. start with veggies, no fruit for a while. If you start her on fruit, you won't get her to eat any veggies according to my Doctor. Um, I think that's all. email me if you have more questions or want to know more. I am just doing what my doctor said; I just happened to go last week!

Oh, I was going to say... with Kaitlyn, she has baby food in the afternoon or evening and even then, after that, she still nurses for a little while. So she probably will need to have a bottle too! And you either have to feed her before she starts getting hungry, or bottle feed her for a while, and then feed her that. Either way!
