A Hint of Summer

We complain all summer about the heat but it seems like after every winter, the moment it starts to warm back up we're shouting for more! This past weekend we had awesome weather. My nieces were playing in the backyard and were going to play in the little pool so we let our little Monkey join in on the fun. There were swimsuits, popsicles, bikes, and even crazy hool-a-hoopers involved that afternoon. And oooohhh do I wish I had a picture of Monkey #3 doing that hool-a-hoop action. Watch out now!!

There WAS some fussing going on at first because come to find out, Monkey #1 not only doesn't like sand in her feet like I mentioned in a previous post from the park, but now we've realized she doesn't like the way grass feels either. Go figure!?! Exhibits 1, 2, and 3.

Who knew a kitchen sponge could be so fun. Next time we'll have to have 2 around so the mood will stay more on the lighter side :)

What a cute bum! Notice the jellies she has on at this point so heaven forbid the grass wouldn't be touching her toes.

That face looks a little suspicious

Warming up

Warming........wait, I don't know what she's doing lol

Dancing.....of course!

Grandma-ma

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PICTURE EVER OF HER!!!! don't know why, just is.

She played with this baby forever. Guess I need to get her some more dolls she can get wet and put in the bath with her

What you lookin at?

There was an angry tantrum after this ride. See that smile? It lasted as long as the battery. She got a couple rides by her, oh so sweet older monkey cousins but....rrrrwwwhhhrrrrr the battery slowly died. When I went to get her out there was clinging to the side rails, crying and lots and lots of kicking involved. Needless to say we'll make sure it's fully charged before sticking that motor bound, need for speed....well 2 miles an hour junkie in there again.

Looks like you guys had tons of fun. Only in AZ can you be out in the sun in your swim suits in the winter. Gotta love it. My son hated the way grass felt too when he was little. It was actually great cause you could stick him on a blanket in the middle of the grass and know that he wouldn't dare step foot off the blanket. Don't worry. She'll get over it. Your little monkey is so cute. I love the picture of her with Grandma. I don't get to see her near often enough. i feel pretty guilty about that.

That's funny about the twins thing. You do have a high gentic (sp) chance of having twins but that was for random twins. So on top of random you also have the gentic fact going for ya. SCARY!

That is so funny that your "Hint of Summer" is swimsuits, swimming pools, and laying on the ground getting warm!!! Here in SLC, UT we are just so excited to see even a blade of grass poking through all the snow! That is our "Hint of Summer" as we are looking at it with coats on and sipping hot chocolate! Ha!

It's basically like checking email, it just lets you know when any of the blogs you are subscribed to have posted.
