Don't quit your day job!

Well I accomplished one of those items on my to do list from a couple posts back. I GOT PHOTOSHOP!!! Hooray! lol Ok so it's not as exciting for all of you reading this but hey i'm enjoying it, so roll with it. Project one, since I've had this snazzy little program I have decided to turn my blog into a physical book. I've used Picaboo, and Shutterfly in the past and like both of them, but for my blog I think i'm going to try blurb.com this time. Plus I've suddenly realized they are a lot cheaper. Where the heck have I been? Chris's grandmother just put together her life history just before Christmas. What an undertaking that must have been. It was amazing to see how many funny and random memories over the past 80 something years that she remembered, and wrote down. She was nice enough to let me help her when she was done, by having me type it up for her, so she could put it all together for her kids to have copies of. Lucky for both of us we're just next door. Well since then I have decided that this blog is like my life history. I don't write in a journal, I'm a woman of the 21st century....is that correct? Anyway, I blog instead. So to preserve these meaningless ramblings, that i'm sure my future offspring won't care a lick about, I'm putting them to paper........(via through the internet lol.....like I said, woman of the 21st century! ) It looked a little boring when I started so I decided to make the entries into more of a scrapbook style, instead of the straightlined blog format. Here's a little of what I've done. Feel free to let me know if I should stick to the plain straightlined format my blog is in or the desperate attempts of a scrapbook page that I've turned them into. And yes feel free to laugh, point, and turn your nose up to them all you fancy scrappers out there. :) I think those of you who can scrapbook have talent cause gosh darn it, it's so hard.....it takes me just an hour to figure out the first piece of paper I wanna use to base the rest of my layout on.
This will be the cover of the book

I think making it look like a scrapbook is a really cute idea. Like you, this is more like a journal for me. I have been really wanting to take what I have done so far and turn it into a book and then try to do one every year or so. Tell me this though, how much does one of these books end up costing?

Hey Chris! It's your cousin Lisa. I'm excited I found your blog through Aaron and Tami's blog. It's fun to see you and your family. I have a question for you though. How do you know Tiffany Knox? I was a little shocked to see her name on your friends list. She and I have been best friends since high school after she stole my boyfriend from me. Go figure. Anyway, I'm glad to see that you guys are doing really good.

Wow! Awesome job! Yes Blurb.com has the best prices around that I've found also. Although I did a photo book through Yorkphoto.com when they had a 40% off sale + an additional 25% off additional copies of the books and it was great also!
